Overview

On July 1, 2017 University cellular telephone services will move from being managed centrally by Information Services to the responsibility of UO departments and individuals via a reimbursement stipend.

College of Design, Technology Services will continue to provide limited cellular telephone service support for those in leadership positions and administrators whose job duties rely on being available away from office or are off-site.   Faculty and staff who qualify may request a monthly reimbursement in place of using a University owned cell phone.   

Cell Phone Service Eligibility

Cellular phone service provided through the School and paid for via the General Fund may be available to the following:

• Administrative staff whose job duties require contact away from the desk or work off-site.
• Dean and Associate Deans
• Department Heads

Cellular phone service will be provided through Verizon only.

Individual Cellular Reimbursement Eligibility

Reimbursement for individual cellular telephone usage is on a case by case basis and will be determined by the department and the Dean’s Office.
